We left the hot spring resort in the morning, we drove on high way 185 to a old house of a famous Hakka author, Chung-Li-Ho (鐘理和).
We also visited a elemtary school for tribe people. In this school, students will learn their own culture.
Rukai people (凱魯族) is the fifth largest indigenous group living in the mountains of southern Taiwan.
The Rukai people at Rinari were originally from Kochapongane (古茶柏安), which was destroyed by Morakot typhoon (莫拉克颱風) on August 8, 2009.
The residents of Rukai village were forced to relocate, they have developed and turn their new homes into an unprecedented tribe of host families.
Tonight, we are staying at a host family in Rukai village and enjoying the traditional Rukai dinner.
How wonderful. RB
