Taiwan 09-20-2011

Early morning, we left the guest house and heading to Xitou (溪頭).

Xitou was "origin of stream" in a small village in mountain in the late Qing Dynasty.  During the Japanese Occupation, it was chosen as the forest for practical training by Tokyo University.  The forest recreational area has been established in 1970.

According to the data from Xitou observation station, the average temperature of the month of Xitou is 11.0 - 28 ℃, and the average annual temperature is 16.6℃. The average annual rainfall is 2635.18mm. According to the Thornthwaite climate classification, it belongs to AB'ra' type, which means warm and humid weather. The rainfall is sufficient in the whole year. The effective temperature does not focus in summer and is suitable for compatriots to stay at summer resort.

It was a little foggy when we arrive Xitou.  Later, the fog moved in, it was like we were walking in sky.  Very beautiful, but very hard to take a picture.  So, we were just put Xitou in our memory.  It is a beautiful place.
