Taiwan 09-30-2011

It was a hot and muggy day.  My friend and I did not want to go out until late afternoon.

Around 4 o'clock, we went to Cijin (旗津).  It was windy and muggy when we got Cijin.

Cijin is part of Kaohsiung. Cijin Island was called the “Chihou peninsula.” It was the first Chinese settlement in the Kaohsiung area and remains an important location to all the city's residents. On the western side of the city, it is essentially a long, thin sandbar measuring eleven kilometers in length, and only two hundred meters wide. After links to the main city were opened up, including a tunnel that runs under the harbor to the island. In addition, Cijin has an excellent ferry service.

Cijin offers a lot good seafood restaurants.  We had our wonderful seafood dinner in Cijin.

It started to rain as soon as we back to my friend's car after dinner.

Tomorrow, I am heading to Taipei to have many reunions.

Later!
